LOST TRIBE OF FIORDLAND

Here is a link to a NatGeo article. A very good one on the history of this 'lost tribe'. It is a true tale, too much has been discovered and observed for it to be fiction. For all we know, a handful of individulas may still out there, as elusive as the Fiordland moose.

And here is a book I discovered written just about this tribe which seems to have a lot of genuine history all blended into a novel of the history of the Fiordland Region. It starts and finishes with a strange engraved Patu... its look like a very old skethc but it doesn't appear anywhere so is very likely fictional.
